Hello and welcome to the 2021 holiday gift guide! First, I want to say that I realize that this is coming out pretty late because I am a procrastinator. Maybe you’re a last-minute shopper like me, or you have been stumped on what to get that hard-to-shop-for person. Either way, I hope these gift ideas inspire you.
When I recommend things, I strive to choose products and companies that align with my values. As we know, there is no ethical consumption under capitalism. But that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t try. I’ve compiled this list of gift ideas while keeping these values in mind. For example, this means supporting sustainable companies that create products from recycled materials and also prioritizing BIPOC and woman-owned businesses.
I have tried my best to be mindful while putting this list together. Also, please do not feel pressured to buy any of these products! These are simply ideas for holiday gifts if you are looking for inspiration. Now, let’s get into the list.

For your outdoorsy friend
Starting off the list strong with the ever-popular Patagonia quarter zip. It’s made of 100% recycled polyester and is Fair Trade Certified. If there’s someone on your list who you have no idea what to get them, get them this. There’s a reason the Better Sweater is so popular. Trust.
Second, Thesus Outdoors (formerly Alice + Whittles) Weekender Boots are perfect for a hiking enthusiast. These boots are sustainably made of over 95% natural and recycled materials. Also, they’re versatile AF. Wear them on the trail or to brunch.
In my opinion, a ball cap is always a good gender-neutral gift idea. Everyone likes them. Gift your favorite recreationalist this “out of office” hat from outdoorsy brand Kinfield.
For the Jet Setter
Next, we have these amazing travel containers. They are leakproof, watertight, airtight, BPA-free, and TSA-compliant. Cadence capsules are made with 50% recycled material. Also, the containers have magnets that keep them all together so you’re not fumbling around in your carry-on trying to find your shampoo. Plus, they look so chic! Gift these to your jet-setting friend so they can break up with their travel-sized toiletries.
For the Environmentalist
A counter composter is a great gift for your environmentalist friend and the planet. Win-win.
Next up are stasher bags! I swear by these bags. Everyone needs at least one stasher bag in their life. Stuff one of these bags with stocking stuffers for the cutest little gift bag, no wrapping necessary.
Once you’re done burning this candle, you can reuse the jar as a wine glass! How cool is that?
A beanie made from recycled water bottles? Yes, please.
For the Homebody
I have a Slip sleep mask and it’s the best thing to ever happen to my sleep hygiene. This is a great gift for someone who deserves a little luxury in their nighttime routine.
The Summer Fridays Jet Lag mask is the ultimate hydrating face mask. Perfect for your nighttime skincare routine, a flight, an at-home facial, etc. Plus, it comes in recyclable packaging.
How cute is this soy candle from Jane Dottie Vintage?
For the Wellness Girly
I get tons of compliments on my Bala bangles every time I wear them. Gift these to your friend who loves Pilates.
The Gua Sha has been getting a ton of hype on the internet lately, and for good reason. Gift to your friend who loves skincare!
I am obsessed with Magnesi-Om. I drink this stuff every night before going to sleep. It’s a Magnesium supplement that supports a healthy sleep cycle – but it tastes so good! Gift to your friend who is always trying trendy supplements.
Lastly, this 100g package of pure matcha powder is perfect for the matcha enthusiast in your life. And that’s the tea.
