My New Favorite Clean & Eco-Friendly Skincare Products

Together, these skincare products are a clean, green, eco-friendly machine!

If you’re in the market for clean and sustainable skincare, look no further. After eyeing clean and eco-friendly brands Youth To The People and Farmacy, I took the plunge during Sephora’s holiday sale. I picked up the Youth To The People superfood antioxidant cleanser and the Farmacy Beauty Deep Sweep toner. What better time to shop for skincare essentials than during the Sephora holiday sale?

I am transitioning my skincare routine to be as clean and low-waste as possible to be more mindful of my health and the environment. Shopping for clean beauty products is easy with Clean at Sephora. When browsing online, I just look for the green seal. The Clean at Sephora seal certifies that the product is formulated without any questionable ingredients like parabens, sulfates, phthalates, formaldehydes and more.

Youth To The People Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser

I’ve only been using this cleanser for a few days, but I love it already! The formula is packed with superfoods like kale, spinach, green tea and more. My face feels so clean after washing, and it even smells deliciously fresh! This cleanser is kind to your skin and the Earth, since the packaging is made of glass instead of plastic. Reducing plastic waste and feeling a bit fancier with a glass bottle sounds like a win-win to me. Be sure to reuse that glass bottle one way or another when you run out. You can use it for another product, or you can purchase a refill if you just can’t get enough greens in your skincare routine.

Sustainability is an essential aspect of Youth To The People’s brand – their products are formulated with clean ingredients that are sourced from local suppliers. In addition, they are vegan, cruelty-free and biodegradable. Products are packaged in glass and post-consumer materials to reduce plastic waste. You can read more about Youth To The People’s commitment to sustainability here.

Farmacy Beauty Deep Sweep Toner

This is a 2% BHA pore cleaning toner with moringa and papaya that gently exfoliates skin without overstripping. I’ve been struggling with maskne over the past few months, so I’m hopeful that adding this toner to my skincare routine will help me get rid of it once and for all. I apply this after cleansing in the morning and at night. After only a few days, my skin is starting to look more even and my pores even seem a bit smaller. I’ll report back with a more comprehensive review after I’ve used this for a while.

Like Youth To The People, Farmacy Beauty also has a commitment to clean and sustainable beauty. They formulate cleansers, serums, toners and more with potent natural ingredients, and they source from small organic farms that use sustainable practices. Farmacy packages responsibly with soy ink onto FSC (Forest Stewardship Council)-certified paper harvested from well-managed forests.

So far, I have nothing but good things to say about Youth To The People’s superfood antioxidant cleanser and Farmacy Beauty’s Deep Sweep toner. I am so excited about these clean eco-friendly products, and I can’t wait to see the results they will bring to my skin.
