Valentine’s Day 2021 Recap
Next, onto my Valentine’s Day 2021 recap! First, we decided to have a tea party as an at-home date. Can you tell that I have been watching Bridgerton lately? Haha. We ventured out to get coffee after stocking up at the grocery store for our tea party. We picked up coffee at one of my favorite local coffee shops, Stauf’s. Then, I just had to snap a photo with the storefront design.
Afternoon Tea
After grabbing coffee, it was time for tea! I had been wanting to have an at-home tea party for a long time. Afternoon tea was my favorite part of my trip to London last year, so I thought it would be a fun way to celebrate Valentine’s Day. We added some foods that aren’t really traditional, but the advantage to making it at home is that you can make it however you’d like! For example, we added macarons and quiche. If you’re looking to put together your own afternoon tea party, here are some ideas of what you can use:
- Tea
- Scones
- Clotted cream and jam
- Finger sandwiches (we made mini cucumber + cream cheese sandwiches and mini caprese sandwiches!)
- Mini tarts and mini cakes
- any other pastries your heart desires
Above all, I hope you simply enjoyed your weekend whether or not you celebrate Valentine’s Day. In addition, I would love to hear what you thought about the Week of Pink challenge. So, please leave me a comment or connect with me on Instagram to tell me your thoughts!
xo,
