Today on the blog, I’m sharing comfy dresses you’ll want to live in this summer. Last year, the nap dress craze took the world by storm and it hasn’t slowed down yet. It’s been over a year, and Hill House collections still sell out lightning fast. It’s now officially summer, and I want to share dress options to live and lounge in. We all need variety in our lives and closets! It’s nap dress summer, y’all.
As always, I try to share sustainable and ethical fashion brands when I can!

Sophia Midi Dress in Rainforest Print – OMNES
First, we have this midi dress from OMNES (currently on sale!). It’s made of BCI-certified organic cotton and is perfect for your next tropical getaway.
Atlanta Linen Dress – Daily Sleeper
Second, we have the influencer-favorite Atlanta dress from Daily Sleeper. Comfort comes first thanks to the linen fabric, billowing sleeves, and smocking.
Sophie Dress – Whimsy & Row
The Sophie dress is LA-based sustainable brand Whimsy & Row’s take on the smocked dress trend and I am here for it. Plus, gingham is in right now.
Hyland Linen Dress – Reformation
The Hyland linen dress from Reformation resembles the Sleeper dress. However, the Hyland is a bit more elevated with dramatic puff sleeves and a side slit.
Nico Linen Dress – Tradlands
We’re all familiar with those hot summer days where we cannot be bothered to put together an outfit. But Tradlands has the solution with their Nico linen dress. It’s breezy and effortless, just how a sundress should be. Plus, it has pockets!
Brooklyn Dress – Christy Dawn
A lot of brands support sustainable practices. But, not many brands support regenerative practices. So, you can support regenerative cotton production with the Brooklyn dress from Christy Dawn’s Farm-to-Closet collection. After realizing that sustainability isn’t enough, Christy Dawn set out to heal the Earth. Thus, the Farm-to-Closet collection was born. Read more about the initiative here.
Patty Dress – Molby the Label
Recently, I’ve become a big fan of Molby the Label. In particular, I love the Patty dress. Unlike major fast fashion brands, Molby the Label drops limited collections of clothing so there is no overproduction and waste. So, it can be a bit tricky to get your hands on one of their items. In other words, set a reminder for their drop so you are first in line to snag one of their pieces.
Poppy Dress – Dynasty George
I featured Dynasty George in my list of Sustainable & Ethical Black-Owned Businesses that You Need to Know. But, I love this brand so much that I share it any time I get the chance! I ordered a dress from the recent Beloved collection and I can’t wait for it to arrive. Unfortunately, you cannot order from the Beloved collection anymore. But, it looks like you can get a made-to-order Poppy dress!
The Ellie Nap Dress – Hill House Home
Lastly, the OG nap dress! I have the Ellie dress and I absolutely love it. It’s lightweight, has smocking, and is super comfortable. I tested it properly by taking a nap in it once.
Thanks for reading my list of comfy dresses to live in this summer! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed writing it. Did I miss your favorite brand or dress? Do you own any of these dresses? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
xoxo,
Kyndal
