Today’s blog post is all about Grand Teton National Park & Jackson Hole! I’m sharing photos and my travel diary from my recent trip. If you are planning a trip to Grand Teton National Park and Jackson Hole, keep reading for ideas on what to do while you’re visiting.
Day 1
For our first night, we stayed at The Cache House in Jackson Hole, a cozy little hostel. On our first morning, we decided we wanted to try the local bagel place, Pearl Street bagels. My boyfriend and I have a bit of a tradition of always trying a local bagel place when we’re on a trip, lol. We stopped by Pearl Street Market to get a few snacks for the day. Then we left Jackson Hole and headed to Jenny Lake. We drove around for a while looking for a place to park, but we eventually found a spot. We went on a hike around Jenny Lake (around 7 miles or so). After our hike, we left to set up camp in Colter Bay. Our campsite was great – it came with a fire pit, a bear box to safely store food, and a picnic table. We set everything up, then went to the Colter Bay store for essentials. We made a fire and roasted veggie dogs and sโmores, the ultimate camping meal. And then we called it a night!
Day 2
I woke up feeling super tired because I couldn’t sleep very well. But our tent was very cozy even though it got down to 45 degrees. We made banana & PB sandwiches at our campsite for breakfast. We decided that we wanted to kayak since it was warm out, so we went to Jenny Lake and tried to rent a kayak but we struck out. Instead, we hung out by the water for a while. We drove up to Mt. Signal lookout for some great views and photos. Then we left and went to the Mt. Signal lodge and had yummy BBQ jackfruit sandwiches and a couple of cocktails. Then we went back to the campsite for the night.

Day 3
Day three was mostly driving up to and through Yellowstone. You can get to Yellowstone directly from Grand Teton, which was convenient. Then the days between day three and our last day were all Yellowstone, which I’ll write a separate blog post about.
Day 8
On our last day, we decided to stick around Jackson Hole. First, we stopped by Cowboy Coffee for our caffeine fix. Then we walked around to a few different shops. My favorite was Made Jackson Hole, where everything is handmade and most items were made locally. Then, we went to Roadhouse Brewery for a great happy hour. Sadly, I can’t drink beer. But I got a huckleberry collins cocktail and it was so good! For dinner, we went to Teton Tiger and it was absolutely amazing. We both got curry – I got the London style Tikka and Adam got the butter curry and they were both delicious. For our last night, we stayed at The Cache House in downtown Jackson again. It’s a hostel, but it was so nice. We wanted to stay in Jackson Hole for our last night since it’s close to the airport. Lodging is very pricey in Jackson, so The Cache House is a great option if you’re looking to stay in a nice place without spending a fortune.
Thanks so much for reading my Grand Teton National Park and Jackson Hole travel diary! Like I said before, I will be sharing my Yellowstone travel diary in a separate post. So, be on the lookout for that.
