How to Wear a Tartan Nap Dress for the Holidays

Tartan for the Holidays? Groundbreaking.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, Nap Dress Nation. Wondering how you can wear your tartan nap dress for the holidays? I got you. It’s no secret that I love Hill House Home and nap dresses. I snagged this tartan nap dress (in the Athena style) during their annual sale, which was exhilarating.

First up in this post is how I wear the Athena by itself. This look is pretty simple: just wear a dress, tights, and boots. Then, accessorize.

Next up is my layered look with the dress. If you’re out in the cold, then I suggest layering a cardigan over your dress. You can’t see it in the photos, but I’m wearing a black cardigan under my coat. I also recommend a teddy coat to look cute and stay warm. Also, I think it’s fun to add a plaid scarf even when you’re already wearing tartan. More is more. To dress up your look, add tights and block heel booties.

My favorite thing about this dress is that it’s so comfortable and can be dressed up or down. The cotton is nice quality cotton. The fabric feels slightly sturdier than the summer nap dresses – which is great for an autumn/winter dress.

It’s a Hill House holiday, respectfully.

One great thing about shooting these photos was getting to walk around and admire all of the Christmas decorations in downtown Columbus.

I wore this exact outfit last weekend at a holiday market. But I switched the booties out for sneakers.
