Hi! I’m Kyndal. I’m a twenty-something living in Columbus, Ohio, and this is the first post of my brand new blog. It’s not close to perfect or even “done,” but I think good things can happen when you put yourself out there though you’re unsure of what the end result is supposed to be.
Starting a blog is something that I have wanted to do for years, but I was too afraid to begin. I craved a creative outlet where I could freely express myself and share long-form content in a way that traditional social media platforms don’t allow. My goal is to create a space where other women can come to get informed and walk away feeling empowered.
I grew up in a small town in southwest Ohio and went to college at The Ohio State University (go Bucks!). I graduated with a degree in political science last year and have been working full time in Columbus since then. I’ve always had an affinity for writing and a multitude of interests – I love fashion, books, cooking, and politics (though I probably have more of a love-hate relationship with politics). When I’m not at work, I’m probably tending to my houseplants or I have my nose in a book.
My friends ask for my thoughts on a range of different topics, from how to take care of a fiddle leaf fig to which candidates they should vote for in upcoming elections. Through my blog, I want to share anything I’m interested in and would talk about with a friend.
Women contain multitudes. I believe that we can be interested in things like building a good skincare regimen and finding the candidate that best aligns with our values. We can be smart, stylish, politically-minded and ambitious all at once. These traits are not mutually exclusive and we won’t let anyone tell us otherwise.
Thanks for stopping by – it’s nice to meet you! You’ll be hearing more from me in the future.
