Happy Sunday and Happy Mother’s Day! This post is coming two days later than I intended… but c’est la vie. Let’s get right into it.

It would be extremely negligent of me to not mention anything about the disgusting racist killing of Ahmaud Arbery. I’m glad to see that the men responsible were arrested and are being charged, although it took much longer than it should have. This post and this post sum up my thoughts. Racism is an epidemic, too. We need to do better.
I am so excited about my May Books of the Month! I had two credits, so I picked Happy and You Know It and All Adults Here.
I am swooning over every one of Nancy Meyer’s kitchens, but I also liked this piece about the different perspectives with which you can view them.
The Women Leading the Coronavirus Response from City Hall via Glamour.
I don’t know why “a week in the life” articles are so fascinating to me, but I especially like this one from Jess Morales Rocketto, Political Director at National Domestic Workers Alliance.
I thought this piece from The Everygirl on How to Talk to Your Friends and Family Who Aren’t Taking COVID Seriously was helpful.
Yes! J. Crew’s Glory Days May Be Key to Its Resurrection
This article (h/t Hitha’s 5 Smart Reads) sums up my thoughts about the upcoming presidential election.
Wear
Loving this dress for spring.
After searching for the perfect pair of classic straight jeans for what feels like forever, I finally bit the bullet and purchased these Levi’s. They came in the mail today and I now understand the hype. They’re a little stiff when you first put them on, but I love how they keep their shape. I’m a fan.
Watch
After finishing Normal People last week, I’ve been watching lots of episodes of The West Wing and Parks and Rec. The West Wing is to feed my idealism, while Parks and Rec just makes me laugh.
Beauty
I did Grace’s at-home facial today and my skin is so happy.
Leave a comment to let me know what’s on your radar this week!
